Client Confidentiality Policy
Confidentiality for those who use the services of StressRx is fully protected.
- It is only with your written consent that specific information can be released to a particular person(s), e.g., parents, friends, teachers, doctor.
- Our Licensed Stress Reduction Coaches may consult with one another to insure quality service. These discussions are specific and limited This occurs only among the professional staff of StressRx.
- Your record is NOT part of any other records at StressRx and your personal information can only be released with your consent.
- Your confidentiality cannot be guaranteed if your record is subpoenaed in a court of law or in the event the Coach determines that you are a clear and imminent danger to yourself and others. In addition, confidentiality cannot be guaranteed if you disclose that you are currently sexually or physically abusing a child or an elderly person.
We will not discuss your coaching, or even that you have sought coaching, with anyone outside this office, unless you give us written permission to do so.
To safeguard confidentiality, we do not use e-mail to communicate with clients about their personal issues. With your permission, we may use e-mail to remind you about your scheduled appointment or your prescribed practice.
